Overview
An all copper Fabfin heatsink provides maximum forced air cooling performance. The fabrication process is the same as that for an aluminum Fabfin heatsink and is offered on MF and AF fin spacing (3.43 mm and 5.49 mm respectively). While copper provides outstanding performance, the overall cost is high. Other fin spacing can be provided when fins are silver soldered into slots. No glue is used in the process.
If you have determined that Fabfin characteristics using
copper do not meet your needs we offer a soldered solution
for a fin spacing of 3mm (0.118”), and a fin thickness of 1mm
(0.040”).
There are no limitations on fin height but we do recommend
installing a spacer bar at the fin tips for fin heights
greater than 100mm (4”).
The standard baseplate thickness is 13mm
(0.5”). Minimum thickness for smaller heatsinks is 9mm
(0.35”).
There is no maximum limit on baseplate thickness.
Maximum width is 508 mm (20”).
Maximum length is 813 mm (32”).
