Threaded Inserts
The use of threaded inserts is becoming an increasing need
for users of Power Semiconductors such as IGBT's. Higher
fastening torque, especially when using thinner baseplates,
makes the possibility of stripping a thread and having an
expensive "tear down" or scrapping the heatsink a real
possibility. Heatsinks with helicoil threaded inserts eliminate
this issue completely. These stainless steel threaded inserts,
make stripping virtually impossible.
